Mentorship Syllabus

24 weeks

Typically, online continuing education courses will last four to eight weeks and pack in a lot of information in this short period of time. This results in the student only learning a small piece of the information. PTMENTORS' mentorship program is spaced out over 24 weeks to allow the mentee plenty of time to view the library material, practice and prescribe the treatments to their patients, discuss the material in the small group meetings and ask specific questions regarding the material during the one on one interactions. By reviewing and discussing the material multiple times, the mentee is more likely to absorb the information and actually apply it to their patients.

12 small group meetings

Every other week there will be a small group meeting of mentees with a mentor. The highlight of these small group meetings are case presentations. Each mentee will present a case presentation to the small group. These meetings will allow the mentees to give and receive feedback from the peers along with their mentor on actual patients they are treating. These small group meetings will also cover action items in each module and allow discussion on strategies to apply evidence based practice to their current caseloads.

6 individual meetings

Over the course of the mentorship program, each mentee will have a scheduled one on one meeting with their mentor. This time is meant for the mentee to ask questions regarding specific patients on their caseload or regarding the material covered in the library of research articles or treatments.

Lifetime access

Purchase of either the self study course or the mentorship program allows you to have lifetime access to the extensive library of audio and video episodes. As new research studies and clinical practice guidelines are published, PTMENTORS will update the library to include the most up to date evidence based practice. There will also be additions to our favorite manual therapy techniques and exercises to give you effective treatments to use with your patients.
